My name is Raleigh Adams, and my favorite place to be is outside.

I call myself an Exterior Designer because I believe outdoor living spaces are just as important as the rooms inside.

I describe my style as aspirational like the Classical world but as low-key as the Appalachian Mountains. I aim to reference forms that have stood the test of time while using native materials familiar to generations of Appalachian families. I was born and raised in Boone, North Carolina, where I live and work today.

My work is shaped by a lifelong connection to nature. Many of the hardwoods used in my designs are gathered locally from forests near my childhood home; other found objects I incorporate are chosen to evoke a strong sense of place and aesthetic heritage.

When I’m not in the woods or sourcing materials for clients, you’ll find me golfing, road biking, or dining al fresco with friends and family.
