ORANGE - Sold Out.
Established in 1967 by American artist and gardener Robert Dash in the village of Sagaponack, MADOO is a magical oasis tucked in the heart of the Hamptons.
Dash was a gardener and painter in equal-parts: At MADOO, the horticulturally diverse garden is punctuated with a dramatic use of the artist’s brightly colored paint.
A purple gazebo, blue bench, or yellow finial in the gardens reminds visitors of Dash’s successful career as a painter: (He’s probably most well-remembered for his abstract landscape paintings; however, in later years his work explored abstract expressionism - a distinctly American art movement with a deep history in the Hamptons.)
In recent months, MADOO has become one of my favorite places to visit and a great source of inspiration.
I’ve designed this limited series of smalls exclusively for MADOO. Each cache pot is accented by a particular shade of color found in the gardens and will be available this spring, in-store and online.
